Happy New Year Challengers!  As we move forward into 2016, let us all take time to remember what it is we truly value most in life.  Our relationships, loved ones, family, friends, and neighbors are what keep us rooted in community.  Warmth, shelter from the elements, a place to rest, recharge and perhaps find a moments solitude, are equally vital. Yet how easy it is to take those things for granted for many of us that have never lived on the streets.  We all at the Challenger thank you so much for your support of our Newspaper, which allows many of Austin area’s homeless to continue picking themselves up by the bootstraps and working towards a better life.
